Purslane is an extremely nourishing traditional superfood, which we've offered before pickled in the French style (pourpier) and Spanish (verdolaga). It contains more omega-3 fatty acids than any other leafy vegetable plant! It also literally grows like a weed in many parts of the country, including the bay Area. This version features purslane from Feral Heart Farm, right here in the East Bay, with onions and carrots, and subtle hints of fresh mint, lime and aromatic spices.
