The Ubuntu Coffee Cooperative is a small coffee roasting company located in Emeryville, California. It grew out of a desire to bring to the market the finest Organic, Fair Trade Coffee in a work environment that respects the rights and dignity of all who work to produce it. The Ubuntu Coffee Cooperative roast their coffee ​beans and deliver them fresh to us each week for your order.

Permata Gayo was founded in 2006 in the Bener Meriah district of the Aceh Province, home of the Gayonese people where ideal growing conditions have supported the long history and unique quality of "Gayo Mountain" coffee. In bringing the full process from farmer to final export under one roof, Permata Gayo is able to regain more control over each step of the way to improve quality, communications and direct sales, to achieve the ultimate objective – sharing a bigger portion of the final price back to the farmers themselves.
Full bodied with rich, juicy notes in this dark roast.
