Dr. Saulius Anthony Alkaitis is a highly regarded research scientist with a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. In addition to being a chemist, he is also a molecular biologist; an ethno-pharmacologist (trained in traditional plant-based healing,) and a pharmacognosist (experienced in the medicinal properties of plants.) With his scientific knowledge and expertise in plant life, he fuses both disciplines into a holistic approach creating one of the most dynamic ‘living’ personal-care lines available on the market today.

The soft and creamy Cleansing Base of this facial wash is compounded of the highest-quality cold pressed oils that are infused with the medicinal herbs and plants of Dr. Alkaitis’ Herbal Skin Complex. At the base of this complex are the raw extracts of the Althaea Officinalis root, well-known for powerful antibacterial properties and raw extracts of the Sambucus Nigra flower that is brimming with antioxidants due to the flavonoids that are naturally present. Raw extracts of complementary ingredients are added to this blend to form a whole that deeply cleanses while balancing and strengthening the skin.
