Dr. Saulius Anthony Alkaitis is a highly regarded research scientist with a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. In addition to being a chemist, he is also a molecular biologist; an ethno-pharmacologist (trained in traditional plant-based healing,) and a pharmacognosist (experienced in the medicinal properties of plants.) INGREDIENTS

Extracted from rose petals, rose hydrosol is delicate, cooling and sweetly fragrant. Wonderful as a moisturizer, particularly for mature skin. Apply mist to neck and face throughout the day. Soothes itchy nose and eyes due to allergies, dust, or dry weather. A divine fragrance, rose is a mood balancer with an expansive and comforting influence on the heart. Reduces stress and insomnia. Scent category: Floral Mind/body influence: Relaxing, comforting, reflective, sublime.

The fresh leaves of Lemon Verbena offer an amazing fragrance – slightly sweet, as if you are smelling lemon-flavored candy. The scent is due to the high concentration of Citral, a citrus-lemon oil that is also found in Lemongrass, Lemon Balm, and even Lemons. This hydrosol captures that wonderful fragrance!

Arnica oil is a natural anti-inflammatory with anti-oxidant and anti-microbial properties.

Gathering Thyme makes their therapeutic herbal oils in-house from the finest organic herbs, infused in organic sunflower and/or olive oil. These oils are made frequently in small batches by the Gathering Thyme staff of clinical herbalists.
